Winterfest 2019 was a wonderful event in downtown Faribault! On Thursday evening, rudolph emerged from a block of ice at the hands of skilled carvers, families enjoyed horse drawn wagon rides up and down Central Ave, and music was in the air as shoppers enjoyed the beautiful holiday window displays.
Friday the Alexander Faribault home was open for free tours, and the Paradise Center for the Arts had a play.
Saturday the weather was perfect for the Vintage Snowmobile Slide In. That evening, the fireworks and parade of lights brought a big crowd downtown to take in the festive lights, and the night closed with a street dance with a heated tent and a live band providing entertainment.
