The 2017 Blue Collar BBQ is on Saturday, August 12 and the town of Faribault, MN couldn’t be more excited. One day out of the year, the beautiful downtown of one of Minnesota’s most historic communities plays host to cooks competing for the prize of best BBQ, art and live music.
This event is the region’s biggest blog party that attracts over 6,000 people. Located in the heart of downtown Faribault, the festival is free to attend and features live music, a barbecue competition, a kid’s area, art fair, food vendors, beer gardens, and more.

Paradise Center for the Arts
The fun community event is presented by the Paradise Center for the Arts. The Paradise is committed to promoting an active interest in arts and theatre in Faribault. They provide a venue for emerging and established artists to exhibit and perform. The Paradise Center for the Arts has been operating for 10 years.
This is the 9th annual year of the Blue Collar BBQ and Arts Festival to help raise money to keep the Paradise in operation. Local amateur BBQ cooks plan to delight judges taste
buds. Local beer brewers gear up to try their brew against other locally mastered beverages. Music for the day-long event is presented by Left Handed Entertainment.
Historic Downtown Faribault
A vibrant city center, downtown Faribault greets residents and guest with historic buildings and modern commercial establishments. The area is the modern center of entertainment and commerce.
Faribault’s Historic Commercial District, located along Central Avenue between 2nd and 3rd Streets, provides visitors with a clear vision of the town in the 1880s. The downtown area features well-preserved Italianate storefronts of local brick and limestone with impressive architectural details.
