The Paradise Center for the Arts in Faribault, MN is busy. They’re busy getting ready for an entertaining summer season of shows, music, art, and classes. And whether you happen to be in the Faribault area or just looking for a fun date idea, the Paradise Center is supplying some must-see moments this summer.
If you’re looking for something to do in Faribault, it never takes more than a few minutes walking along the historic downtown to see there’s a lot going on. One of the many hot spots on the town’s main street is the Paradise Center for the Arts. Located at 321 Central Ave in the heart of the historic downtown and across the street from Faribault’s famous Cheese Cave, the Paradise Center is an easy walk from anywhere on main street.
The Paradise Center itself consist of more than just a theatre. The building also houses multiple art galleries and classrooms for many community art classes. With all of these venues in the Paradise, it’s not hard to find something fun to do this summer. Here are some upcoming events that can make your next trip to Faribault a great adventure.
The Paradise Community Theatre
It’s a tale as old and time, and this summer it’s going to be brought to life on the Paradise stage. The Paradise Community Theatre is proud to bring Disney’s Beauty and the Beast to Faribault. Directed by Shelley Fitzgerald, the play will open June 16th and will run until the 24th.

Music Performances
There’s nothing more fun than a night spent at a music concert. If you agree with that, then make sure to check out the upcoming music performances coming to the Paradise stage this summer. If you’re a fan of Johnny Cash, you’re not going to want to miss the Church of Cash performing on June 30th at 7:30 PM. A topnotch tribute act that’s returning to Faribault for the second time.
Switching from Johnny Cash to the Beetles, the musical group FAB 6 will come to town to play songs from one of music’s most iconic bands. The show will take place July 7th at 7:30 PM. For information about either of these shows, you can visit the Paradise Center’s website.
Gallery Shows
The Paradise displays three art galleries – The Carlander Family Gallery, The Lois Vranesh Boardroom Gallery, and the Corey Lyn Creger Memorial Gallery. Each of these galleries highlight work from a wide range of artists. From student exhibits to some of the countries premier artists, the Paradise supplies a rich and beautiful look into the world of art.
All three galleries are updated regularly and always feature new and wonderful artwork. Coming up in June, the Carlander Family Gallery and the Lois Vranesh Boardroom Gallery will feature new artwork from Ironhead and Siro Amerson.
