Join the Rice County Historical Society and the Minnesota Lace Society to learn about historic lacemaking! What were the different ways people made lace in the past? What kind of items and designs were made out of lace?

The Lace Society will talk for about thirty minutes about lace history with lots of beautiful pictures of lace, and then participants will get to try their hand at making their own lace, using the tatting method.
