Thursday, September 10th ~ FREE event!Join us for an evening of creativity, community, and live performance in Central Park!
5:00 PM – Art-Making Activities Get hands-on with free, all-ages art activities, including drawing led by Kate Langlais and a wool felting project led by Char Johnson.
7:00 PM – Live Performance Experience Mixed Precipitation’s Pickup Truck Opera Volume 6: Tales of Hoffmann.
Celebrating 18 years of inventive outdoor performances, Mixed Precipitation brings a bold, futuristic twist to The Tales of Hoffmann by Jacques Offenbach. Follow the adventurous poet Hoffmann as he searches for love and creative inspiration in a world overtaken by technology. Along the way, he encounters ghosts, robots, magicians, and shape-shifting demons in this imaginative, high-energy production.
Blending classical opera with 1990s grunge and R&B, this “Pickup Truck Opera” is a truly one-of-a-kind theatrical experience—accessible, surprising, and fun for all ages.
Community Impact This event is presented in collaboration with the Community Action Center and the City of Faribault, with support from the Charitable Gambling Advisory Board. Guests are encouraged to bring a canned food item to support the Community Action Center.
